The design consultation is a very important part of our design process, and because we charge a fee for consultation, we want to make sure it is valuable to our prospective clients.
The consultation is all about exploring and expanding your ideas. Please be honest and open, as we will be feeding off of each other during this time to brainstorm and bring your ideal garment to life.
Our ultimate goal is to leave the consultation with a fully thought out idea and sketch of your potential garment. This will include color, fabric, trimmings, etc.
A few helpful things to consider if you'd like a Dare Custom:
-Consultation fee is included in final price
- Special Occassion garments (birthday, prom, anniversary, glitzy styles requiring appliqués, etc) have starting price of $500 and increase depending on the final design agreed upon during consultation
- Regular Custom garments have a starting price of $250 and increase depending on the final design agreed upon during consultation
For example - a custom top (even if simple design) will have a minimum price of $250. We suggest getting FULL and COMPLETE outfits.
- Once the consultation is finished you will receive your final invoice, a deposit 60% must be paid within 48 hrs to secure your custom slot or your invoice and custom slot will be voided. (Payment plans are available and can be discussed during consultation. Keep in mind that work does not start until deposit is paid in full.)
- There will be a contract for all parties to sign
- Custom garments will have different processing times depending on the design. It can take as little as 7 days and up to 6 weeks processing before shipping. You will be informed when you receive your invoice the final processing time. If you have a deadline we will make sure you receive your garment one week before your due date
- We do have a rush fee available for $50 - $200 however, please do not expect to receive a custom garment in less than 7 days if you add on the rush fee.
7 days is the minimum processing time before a garment is shipped. A rush fee will bump your request to higher priority but at Jhomé Apparel quality is very important!
How to prepare for your consultation:
- please have a basic measuring tape and someone to assist with getting your measurements
- know your style preference
- come with a budget
- be open and honest
- bring an open mind!
